We are 60 people of two choirs, one male ("Sallskapet CMB") and one female ("Sot Likor"), from the university of Karlstad, Sweden, who will be doing a tour through Canada and the US this summer. We will begin this tour in Toronto and stay there from July 28 to July 31, then move on to Chicago from July 31 to Aug 4 and finally reach New York City where we will be from Aug 4 to Aug 8. This trip will be financed by sponsors and ourselves and we have no gaining interest whatsoever.

Our repertoire consists of only Swedish music that we have put together in a show called Made in Sweden. This show is divided into three parts, or three "crowns" which we like to call them. The first "crown" is about 50 minutes long and is dedicated to Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, filled only with music made by these two fabulous composers. Here you will hear music from ABBA, Chess, the Swedish musical Kristina from Duvemala and also songs from their most recent masterpiece Mama Mia that opened in Toronto, Canada just a couple of weeks ago. A 25-minute long intermission follows after this.

The music of the second "crown" is called Nordic light is life, and here we celebrate the season where the light comes back to the Nordic countries in various old and new spring- and summersongs. This part is approximately 20 minutes long. Then follows the third and last crown, The Millenium night – Swedish musical export, where songs dating all the way back to the 900^th century are performed, as well as Swedish folk music and songs from Sweden such as "Hooked on a Feeling", "The Look" and "The Final Countdown" that over the years have landed at the top of the American billboard,

Our main goal with this trip is to sing, sing, and yet again sing, and we would very much like to perform in as many places as possible and for as large an audience as possible. We are two non-profit choirs, but since our strict budget does not allow us to lose money on anything, the concerts we do must pay themselves.
